At Orchard Fruit, a family-run company with over 15 years of experience in growing, producing, and exporting premium fresh fruit, we are looking for an Agricultural Production Technician to join our team in La Almunia de Doña Godina.
📌 Main Responsibilities:
- Crop Management: Plan, supervise, and coordinate agricultural activities including planting, pruning, irrigation, and harvesting of apples, pears, and cherries.
- Sustainable Agricultural Practices: Implement integrated production techniques and biological control methods to ensure sustainability and crop quality.
- Team Supervision: Lead and train field personnel, ensuring compliance with production standards and safety protocols.
- Pest and Disease Monitoring: Detect and manage plant health issues using environmentally responsible solutions.
- Resource Optimization: Manage irrigation systems, fertilizers, and other inputs efficiently.
- Data Management: Keep accurate records of field activities and analyze data to optimize processes and improve yields.
🎯 Requirements:
- Education: Higher Degree in Agricultural Production, Agricultural Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional Experience: At least 3 years of experience in managing fruit crops, ideally apples, pears, and cherries.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with integrated production systems, biological pest control, and sustainable farming practices.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead teams and manage multiple tasks in the field.
- Digital Competence: Proficient in using digital tools to collect and analyze agricultural data.
- Languages: English proficiency is a plus for international communication.
- Location: Residing in La Almunia de Doña Godina, Zaragoza or willing to relocate.
